I went to the movies tonight. The re-release of Martin Scorsese’s ‘Taxi Driver’. It is so great on the big screen! I’ve watched it many times on TV – but the cinematography really needs the big screen! There are no special effects – it’s just all raw and real!!! What a genius with the camera and directing!
The Bernard Herrmann film score is awesome! Will always be one of my favorites – very effective – the woodwinds and horns, with the snare and other percussion – just nails it! The sax theme is interwoven so beautifully throughout and then the harp in its intensity (yes harp) in climactic places gave me chills.
There is one more showing of the re-release this coming Tuesday night at AMC theaters throughout the states! Enjoy!
Hey Laura,
The website looks great so far. I see you’re using wordpress.com also. I remember the days leading up to launching my website — what a lot of work. I hope you don’t mind that I snuck a peak at it before your official launch.
Hugs, Barbara
Thanks Barbara! Initially started building one with ‘squarespace’ but having to transfer and enter code turned me off – for audio stuff I would have needed to use a 3rd party service then upload. So after not hearing from them when I needed help, I switched.
Please feel free to subscribe! I will keep adding things in as I can. Web Press people are very helpful!
Hugs! xoxo
