I’m working on creating some themes for a Romantic Comedy. It’s fun! It’s also stressful…creative stress – enjoyable pressure. Do any of you have a favorite Romantic Comedy movie? I just watched ‘The Proposal’ last night and really enjoyed the movie and the cast AND the music used as underscore throughout. Some of my favorite Romantic Comedies are the classic ‘When Harry Met Sally’ and ‘Sleepless In Seattle’.
Time to enter some music into Finale and decide if I like it – there’s a point where I enjoy what I’ve come up with then…I’m not sure! 🙂
Enjoy your time!

The theme to “An Affair to Remember” from the 1950’s, with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr comes to mind. I love the movie — the theme is a bit schmaltzy but I think it’s done its job in that in has made an indelible mark in my memory.
Keep up the composing — so proud of you and happy for you!
Ah yes! I love that one too. I watched the beginning of it the other night. It’s referred to several times in “Sleepless In Seattle”. We couldn’t think of the name of it when we met last week! I remembered the actors and what a great story it is.
Say I’m trying to come up with some thematic material for a goofy, geeky, clutzy, sci-fi fanatic guy with lady problems. Can you think of any movies you like that portrait that kind of character? Maybe Sean has a couple of suggestions…
